Japan Post shipping to the United States has now resumed after a long suspension.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) support is now available for all shipping methods currently offered for U.S. orders, including FedEx, DHL, and Japan Post.

Although Japan Post is now available again, delivery delays are still likely for the time being. For faster and more stable delivery, we recommend using DHL or FedEx whenever possible.

The European Union will introduce a new customs duty rule for certain low-value imports starting July 1, 2026.

Under this new EU rule, some shipments imported into the European Union with a value of EUR 150 or less may be subject to an import duty based on the applicable item or customs declaration details.

To make this easier to understand before placing an order, LapinNoir.JP may display this amount at checkout as Estimated EU Import Duty.

This is not a handling fee charged by LapinNoir.JP.
It is an estimated customs duty related to the new EU import rules. The amount is collected in advance when applicable to help reduce unexpected customs charges upon delivery.

This amount is separate from VAT. If VAT is also shown at checkout, the VAT and the Estimated EU Import Duty are different charges.

Because our store system uses Japanese yen as the base currency, the displayed amount may not match exactly EUR 3.00. The amount may vary slightly due to exchange rate conversion and rounding.

Please note:
The final import process may still depend on the destination country, shipping carrier, customs declaration details, item classification, and applicable customs regulations.
